BaiCoin is a derivative of LiteCoin (Which is a derivative of Bitcoin) using scrypt as a proof-of-work algorithm. The sole purpose of this coin is to create a digital currency for Bai people (බයියො) in Sri Lanka to utilize in paying Chineese debts. (Good luck with that)
- The abbreviation for Bai Coin is BAIYO (e.g. "Bro, can you send me 100 BAIYO to buy some rice?" "Hello...Hello...ඔව් මන්ත්රිතුමා තමයි..අනුමැතිය ගන්න නං BAIYO 2000 ක් දාන්න නෝනගෙ අරමුදලෙ account එකට")
- ~69 million total coins (To devide 10 coins per each people in 69 Lakshe)
- 2 minute block targets
- subsidy halves in 690k blocks (~3 years)
The rest is the same as Bitcoin.
- 20 BAIYO block reward to symbolize 20th Amendment to the Sri Lankan consitution. If you are a miner, dont be suprised; you will definitly get a commision from Loku Sir. (Actually this is a mining සහනාධාරෙ from a foriegn loan)
- 2019 blocks to retarget difficulty to symbolize the appoinment of president Loku Sir.
- Difficulty is adjusted every 3 days.
