Probably oversight. Needs testing on hardware on make sure it behaves as expected.
I don't think it's supported in the simulator either.

@sgk If you want an easy way to expose long click behavior to users now, you might try https://github.com/bsiever/microbit-pxt-clicks Hopefully it will be merged in to be an official extension soon via #4842. Since this is entirely TypeScript, it does work in the simulator.

Here's an example: https://makecode.microbit.org/_R1kPKEfb8FtC. It uses the term "held" for the concept of a long click.
