Enable SopCast
In order to play sop:// links in Powder Web, you will first need to have SopCast installed.
On OSX, SopCast is installed through Powder Web after adding a sop:// link to the application.
To install SopCast on linux, use these commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:linuxthebest.net/sopcast
sudo apt update
sudo apt install sopcast-player
Then add a sop:// link to Powder Web.
Install SopCast v4.0.0 (not their latest version) from the Official Download Link, it is highly recommended that you do not install it in Program Files or Program Files (x86). The reason for this is that if you do install it in Program Files, Powder Web cannot have access to modify SopCast's files and thus lead to bad user experience.
After installing SopCast, you do not need to open it or configure it, no other configuration is needed in Powder Web either, it will automatically detect the SopCast directory and use it.
To use SopCast links simply add a sop:// link to Powder Web.
