This Scriptable Components specifications seek to define a method for the creation and inclusion of dynamic and interactive components in EPUB® Publications, as well as to provide an interoperable publish and subscribe (pubsub) pattern.
The Scriptable Components specifications are being developed under the charter of the EPUB 3 Working Group.
The specifications reached Draft Specification status on July 23, 2015.
The next projected milestone is publication of another Draft Specification in the Fall of 2015.
The profile is expected to reach Recommendation in 2016.
An adoption readiness roadmap will be published after the specification reaches Proposed Specification status.
