License missing

I would like to reuse short pieces of code from this book for teaching purposes, but the book and code examples are currently without any explicit license. Could you consider releasing your book with a CC-BY-SA license (or CC-BY-NC-SA) and the code examples with MIT license or other permissive licenses?
