Description

Design issue: The background images in the library have a vibrant, confusing, saturated green background color. (see screenshot)

This is just a personal opinion, obviously. It's a design issue. This green color is pretty nice, but it doesn't seem appropriate for background images, IMHO.

Those colors were okay with version 2.5.4. It got changed with version 2.5.6.

To Reproduce

  1. Go to Settings > Appearance > Use Material You Colors: ON
  2. Click on Library
  3. See error

@SebastJava This is most likely a bug in Material Design Components. They introduced a new surface colour system. We bumped the library and migrated to the new colour system. I'll dig deep and try to find a fix for it.
