I then had a look in the docker container at the BACKUPROOT folder (which is /home/postgres/pgdata/backup) but that folder is completely empty. Do I have to configure anything here to get the automatic backups?
I am using the timescaledb-ha:pg16 image.

Hallo,
I'm quite new to Timescale, so please forget if my question is too obvious...I had a look at the documentation about backups at https://docs.timescale.com/use-timescale/latest/backup-restore/backup-restore-cloud, and according to that page backups are written automatically by Timescale.
