Type to search without having to press button

Instead of having to press the search button to begin typing, I am proposing being able to just start typing onto the window to begin entering a search. This would save a button press, particularly noticeable on mobile and if this feature works well enough, the search button could just be removed entirely and there would be room to have a different button there if needed, again a plus for mobile where screen real estate is more valuable.
