Settings get reset each time an application starts the camera

When using Cameractrls to control an Anker PowerConf C200, the settings and preset applied get reset each time an application starts the camera. To be clear, this is not between reboots or after unplugging the camera, settings get reset each time an application wakes up the camera.

Steps to reproduce:

• Open Cameractrl
• Video feed looks bad (overexposed, off white balance...)
• Set settings manually or via preset
• Video feed looks good
• Open Google Meet/Zoom/Cheese or any other app using the camera
• Video feed looks bad
• Apply preset via Cameractrl
• Video feed looks good

It's unlikely this problem actually comes from Cameractrl, but may be a quirk of the C200. In any case I wanted to document this behavior because it took me a while to actually pin point.
