Hi!
Is it possble to get a filter for the shortcode [shipcloud_orderid]? Our order number is different from the order id, also I like to add more specific info on the label.
Thank you!

Hey @hipressure we intend to add order filters based on the shipping status sometime in the future. The shipcloud_orderid is the same as the order id or, since it is Wordpress, the post id. At least this is the usual use case.

Let me ask you a few questions:

  • How does your number differ?
  • What kind of data would you like to add to the label?

Please be advised
The labels themselves are coming from the carriers (web) services. This means that almost no fancy stuff can be added because of their rules and regulations. We can only use fields that are already provided by the carrier.

Hi, thank you for your answer. I really appreciate that.

We use a plugin called "WooCommerce Sequential Order Numbers". As the name says it displays the sequential order number and not the order (post) id in the order list (we were told to do this because of tax regulations).
So this is the number we're working with if pack the packages and for communication with the clients.

I would like to print this number on the label plus some more infos to make it easier, safer and more comfortable to pack.
For example I would like to add the number of items in the order, this helps to not forget an item. Also a little information what was ordered would be nice.

In the end it would be cool to print a string on the label like: orderNumber|totalItems|someDetails = 8718|2|1xFoo-1xBar

I don't know if this works with UPS - for that we need it - but we did this with DPD labels while working with an shipping agency.

A filtering function would be awesome and would increase the value of the addon
A LOT!

@hipressure, I've added the request to have more (shortcode) options as a feature request.

@SideBob yeah, more filters are planned for the 2.0 release.
