Aidryse is a web-based platform for accessing audio information on Gender Based Violence. In collaboration with South Sahara Social Development Organization (SSDO), we only focused on a section of their many projects. Understanding that GBV has become a prevalent social ill, we decided to create a platform that educates and shares stories of Gender-based violence in audio format.
Victims, witnesses or anyone seeking information on Gender Base Violence, can visit our website Aidryse and listen to educative contents and stories, in their preferred languages but limited to Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo including English. AidRyse was built for the underrepresented minority in the society. We understand that not everyone is yet literate and so we have made the audio information available in the major Nigerian local languages. This, we believe, will facilitate information dissemination.

- Stories of Victims and Survivors - contains stories of those that were victims of GBV and also beneficiaries of South Sahara Social Development Organization (SSDO)

- Contact us - where users can reach out to us
- React: A JavaScript-based user interface development library. We used this library to put our project together.
- Bootstrap: a free, open source front-end development framework for building websites and web apps. This technology was used to style components and make our website responsive.
- Cascading Style Sheet (CSS): is used to style web pages. This technology was used to style the components.
- Figma: Figma is an online UI tool for creating, collaborating, and prototyping. The figma file for this product can be found here
- Mailto: It is used on websites to create hyperlinks that allow users to send an email to a specific address. We used this URL scheme to allow users to send emails to the email address listed on the ‘Contact Us’ page.
- Emailjs: EmailJs is a platform for sending and receiving emails without the use of a backend. After completing the form on our ‘Contact Us’ page, clicking the ‘Send’ button sends the information to a specified email address.

Aidryse is based on the open source reactjs javascript library, and more specifically on its realease 17.0.2. This version includes the main functionality needed for aidryse.netlify.app
