Hey @egiurleo someone did some work on this as a rake task! If you're going to work on this it might be a great place to start. Take a look at If I remember correctly, the rake task needs to be fed an organization and then it converts it. Maybe we should change the import baseline inventory to do it as an adjustment. What do you think @mdworken and @armahillo ? |

@seanmarcia @egiurleo -- This is already done as an adjustment via the "import baseline inventory as a CSV" function ( https://github.com/rubyforgood/diaper/blob/main/app/models/storage_location.rb#L93 ) IIRC that option only shows up if the storage location contains no inventory, but the work that John did a while back (with the "getting started" steps) should include some direct shortcuts for doing that. @pdxdiaperbank How can we make this easier to use / find? If you import via a CSV it comes in as an adjustment instead of a donation/purchase already (I just realized this issue was from a year ago and so maybe it's been fixed already?) |

I'm going to un-assign this issue just because I am not going to have time to do it for the next few weeks, but would be happy to jump back in once I wrap up another open source project I'm working on :) |

Hi all,
How does someone currently add their baseline inventory for all of their storage locations without classifying the entries as a donation or a purchase? Currently, this process isn't intuitive so there needs to be some kind of added feature to make it clear for users. I know that there is that startup wizard for new users when first logged in, but if the person bypasses this option, there needs to be a backup option for this process (and it should be obvious to locate). There is another diaper banker asking me how to do it, and I actually have no idea what to recommend that they do (even as an active user of the system I'm confused).
Thank you!
