similarly, deaths can be reached at hospitalization/deadPatientsPerDate.

Thanks for getting in touch!

Since 8 March 2023, we have indeed changed our source for confirmed cases and deaths because the source we relied on since 2020, Johns Hopkins University, has permanently stopped updating their international data. You can find the full context on our website here: https://ourworldindata.org/covid-jhu-who

Note that we don't collect this data or make any corrections ourselves – we copy over the data as published by the WHO and make it easy to browse in our COVID data explorer.
