I'm working hard to understand what I need for my S1 Pro. I have a non-touchscreen display, but it's a TJC unit. (I suspect that model is being shipped widely.) I only see one mention of TJC in the notes, and it refers to the source. Do I need to compile the source myself to use this TJC display? That's fine, but a precompiled one is clearly a simpler option. |

I'm also stuck with the TJC screen but have zero comprehension of compiling python and where to begin. Can we please just get an easy to download and install file set like the ones available for the other two screens? |

I figure that if Creality keeps shipping TJC screens, the numbers alone will make a standard binary for TJC inevitable. I plan to look at this more this evening, to see if the build worked properly and whether it can run my printer with the TJC display. I wanted to see it work, and, if it really improves on stock, become at least a low-level patron. |

No, F4 doesn't have enough program memory for laser support without remove other features. You need to disable some features to make some program memory space. |

I continued to investigate this problem. I took the board out of the printer and temporarily put the original board back in there. All drives are working fine. I connected the SKR to the computer via a USB cable, replace red jumper to usb-power position, and connected the display. The board is defined by the computer as COM-3. The screen also displays the initial information. And when the button is pressed, the same thing happens. But I noticed that when the button is pressed, the computer makes a sound of loss of connection with the USB. I opened the device manager and saw that after pressing the button, the COM-3 port disappears, and then it is restored after a while. This is exactly what is accompanied by the appearance on the screen of a frame with an inscription about the firmware version. |

Unfortunately, I'm experiencing an error in the software. Can someone help me? I have installed Mriscoc's firmware for Ender 3 V2 with BTT SKR MINI E3 V3, but when I try to heat it up, I receive a preheat error. The heating process is very slow and it gives this error before completion. I'm also encountering the same error during the PID test, and as a result, I am unable to print anything. I am not skilled in custom software development. Can anyone assist me with this? |

I got an error when I installed btt ender 3 software and tried to heat it via octoprint. Do you think it's from the motherboard, the heater cartridge, or the power suplly? @mriscoc |

My advice may seem strange, but it helped me. I wrote in a previous post that I got problems with the hotend mosfet on the SKR Mini E3 V3 board. I replaced the transistor, put the board back in place, turned on the heating and got a reboot again. I took out the board and turned it on on the desktop - there was no error and the heating was normal. I used insulation pads for the board mounting screws and put board on th place. And everything is functioning normally now. |

If your board works fine and the temperature is stable with the BTT firmware, then there is no hardware problem, it may just be an incompatibility. Use the BTT firmware until you are confident with your hardware. |

hello I updated to 4.2.7 ubl version,İt does auto homing but it doesnt do z homing and z doesnt go down after that it stays at 2cm high so when setting the z offset it cant go higher then -10 but we have to go-17 to set the offset |

I don't really understand your question, but you can set your probe offset under "Probe Setting" 1, and under "Physical Settings" you can set your bed size, boundaries, etc. if your tool/hotend is not in stock location 2. There's also a probe offset wizard so you can set a Z-offset live. Footnotes |

I also recently discovered a similar problem on my printer. I used to use a file Ender3V2-SKRME3V3-BLTUBL-MPC-20230522B.bin and I didn't have any problems with the alignment of the first layer. And recently I compiled my own firmware by including LA and IS in it, and now I see an uneven first layer. Externally, the process of probing the surface looks normal, but it seems that the data obtained is ignoring when printing. |

Experienced something very similar when I updated to the same pre-built version. My z-offset and mesh probing was inconsistent. Even worse, the mesh values were exaggerated by probing count and grid size. I just ignored this for a while because I knew my bed was very flat and not cause any issues. Later I went the same route as @alkuz1961 and compiled my own with LA and IS because it was something I wanted to experiment with, and in my case the probing issues suddenly went away. I suspect that it was either the re-flash or the clearing of EEPROM in between that fixed it, and not my own build (because bltouch configurations are the exact same) 🤷♂️ Edit: forgot to mention that I use a SKR Mini E3 v3 mainboard + BLTouch v3.1. |

First ensure that Second, when enabling LA 2 you need to go through calibration 3. If not you might get inconsistent layers and other artifacts because of possible over/under extrusion (caused by the K value). Footnotes |

I found out i have a 4.2.2. board with the chip that will not accept this firmware somehow.
So i bought a new board the 4.2.7. The next thing is i have a TJC display.
Now i don't really know what to do first?, Should i swap the motherboard for the 4.2.7. and can i then just install a version for the 4.2.7 motherboard? is it neccesary to updat the display firmware and wher can i find it then?

Many people have had success flashing GD32 chips with the latest firmware version, it need more careful about sd card used. At this time we are not sure about why some boards freeze, but it seems to be caused by bad formatted SD cards. |

I was able to find the cause of the error and fixed my problem with the bed level. In fact, it ben hardware mechanical problems. The X-axis beam turned out to be twisted and the carriage rotated a little along the X-axis when moving. Due to the design features of the installation location of the CR-touch (mounting location is pushed forward relative to the nozzle axis), there was a significant deviation of the readings from the real level. |

I just bought an ender extender for my ender 3 v2, how can I adjust the x and y bed size because now it is 310x310 instead of the stock 235x235 and in the physical settings the maximum is 248 I believe. |

This firmware is great! Over the last month or so, I’ve successfully recompiled probably 5 or 6 different builds to suit my needs and experiment. After the last flash, it no longer saved any settings at all. I tried to reflash to see if a fresh flash would fix it. It will not respond to a fresh compiled .bin file. I’ve tried your precompiled and even creality firmware and none will flash to the printer, the build information stays the same. I have an Ender 3 S1 with F4. I used the “STM32F4_update” folder every time I flash the printer. I was having trouble making everything fit in the last build, could I have loaded too much and locked it up? The 3d printer still prints but every setting needs input before. Is there a way to remove the firmware and start over? Thank you. |

Sorry #1180 is locked and can't take comments. Thank you for sending me there to try @trotus47's firmware. I followed the instructions and selected it in media and got 2 messages, settings stored, configurations applied. I rebooted and tried to save settings. That didn't work so I tried the process again but used a new firmware .bin file on reboot. I can't store any settings or flash firmware. |

What's new in this release
In source (need a custom build):
This firmware is based on Marlin, has been optimized and has enhancements for the Creality Ender 3 V2/S1 printer. This is an universal firmware that can be used in both RET6 and RCT6 STM32FX chips that have 256k or 512k Flash memory. The firmware and its wiki are not really intended for beginners but as a supplement to already existing guides.
How to install the firmware
Requirements
In order to use this firmware, your printer must meet the following requirements:
You can modify your printer to meet these requirements.
Versions
You can download the latest binaries from the assets at the bottom of
the release page.
To know if you have the last release go to the info page in the display of
your printer and compare the release build date with the name of the binary
file. The filename follows the convention:
Where YYYYMMDD indicates the date of the build. 422 refers to the mainboard
version 4.2.2, 423 refers to the mainboard version 4.2.3, and 427 is for the 4.2.7 mainboard version, if you got
a 4.3.1 board use the 422 version. SKRMINI version is currently for the
BTT SKR Mini E3 V3 board (needs a screen adapter).
For example, if you want a firmware for your Ender-3 V2 printer with a control
board version 4.2.2, CRTouch and support for UBL, you should download the file:
UBL versions
Binaries with UBL in their filename have support for Marlin Unified Bed Leveling, this system is similar to the bilinear leveling but with a few extra features to provide users with more control. There are multiple guides on the web about UBL, we recommend reading about it before using this new leveling system.
Model Predictive Temperature Control (MPC)
From this version MPC is being incorporated in all versions. MPC has proven to be a better algorithm for keeping the nozzle temperature stable, and is also very useful for high power heaters.
