The placeholder text does not clear up when click is on an <object> after focus

The placeholder text is cleared if we click on any other element and click back on the input, but the text doesnt clear if the click is on an object tag and then back in the placeholder.

The process:
Type in input and press enter to send text( input still in focus)
click on tag, the placeholder text is visible
Now, click on placeholder. The text should vanish but the placeholder text(eg:"type here") stays without clearing
