[Request] Flatpak release #7
Comments
would be nice but I don't think its possible due to the nature of this program |
just fyi, someone on Reddit appears to have a quick workaround. https://reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/t4t2tv/_/hzovqoy/?context=1 |
I'm willing to put in any work necessary to get this hosted on Flathub. Would be a huge benefit to the Steam Deck (Flatpak Bottles/Lutris) and immutable operating systems like Fedora Silverblue. Are you open to me starting that process? |
I think we would have to make a plugin for steam or something like gamescope or mangohud have already done. |
The Mangohud Flatpak is just the Vulkan layer packaged so other Flatpak applications can utilize it. Same thing could work here for any Flatpak. Limiting slightly on Deck due to Steam being native, but on an OS like Silverblue where you're expected to only use Flatpaks it'll work system wide. |
I'll be starting some work on packaging this for Flatpak with some help from @KyleGospo (similarly to MangoHud) over at https://github.com/orowith2os/latencyflex-flatpak, when that gets tested some more it can be added to Flathub. |
This seem to be like the perfect flatpak release (for agnostic Linux OS).
It's just a suggestion, in the meantime take your time work on this project.
