Hourglass App (iOS/Android) cannot Control redmine

I would love to use the app for my employees so they can track their time when they are at the client or have to do spontaneous remote support. We testet it with our redmine: first we installed the hourglass plugin and it works flawless in redmine. Then we tried the app on iOS and Android (both newest os) and discovered the same problem: while successfully connecting to the redmine via https and api-key it seems to be in some read-only mode: if we start tracking and select a project, a ticket, a description it all shows on the phone. But the interface on the phone is greyish and without function: whether it is the start/stop button or any box or field where you could select a project, issue or add some input.

Redmine is in a Ubuntu 14.04 Lts

There are some RedmineUP-plugins running (agile, checklist, contacts, crm etc.

Alright, let's see.

As i am working mostly on the api, all i can think about is there. It totally looks like a problem there. Did you check all the settings yet? There is somewhere in the general redmine settings (not in the plugin) a checkbox for allowing api requests and REST. I don't have a redmine instance at hand and can't give you concrete details.

If that is all correct set, let's try to ask @karol88, he is the one building the app.

@mattes7777 were you able to resolve your issue?

I wildly guess the Apps are working, therefore your permissions might be the problem.
You may also want to check if any of your other plugins interferes with that.
Ideally you want to monitor the HTTP REST traffic between the App and the Redmine server.

@mattes7777 I'am sure that the problem you describe is caused by Favorite projects plugin, witch redirects the /project URL to /favorite_projects and brakes the API.

I have asked the developer team of Redmineup for a new version of Favorite projects and they did send me a master version which works with the hourglass app

Redmine version 4.0.2.stable (ubuntu server 18.04 lts)
Ruby version 2.6.0-p0 (2018-12-25) [x86_64-linux]
Rails version 5.2.2
Environment production
Database adapter Mysql2

Joy was great when we could use the Hourglass App. But also short because we discovered that in every project the config tab stopped working.

Is there anyone using hourglass successfully on Redmine 4.0.2.stable?
