Event Report [GitHub Open Source CDMX v9 - Edición Especial]

Event Date: December 8th, 2023

Summary

This event was an special edition and we learned about automate processes with Power Automate, and also the core team dedicated a session to talk about GitHub Universe and Microsoft Ignite.
We also do a very funny activity in which attendants carried their best ugly sweaters.

Attendance

• Was it well attended? Yes, we had about 100 attendees
• Was there a diverse attendance in terms of gender, socio-economic class, and race? Yes, we reunited women, men from different social classes
• Attendee Profile: We had developers, students and industry professionals

Venue

• We liked the space and there was a great place to develop all the activities.

Planning vs Implementation

• Schedule Changes: Did the schedule change? Yes, the main session was extended and we didn't have enough time for the session on GitHub Universe, so we had to cut it down and briefly talk about what was most relevant
• Swag and Logistics: Did you have enough swag? Did everything get to you on time, and did anything not get taken by your attendees? Yes, we had enough swag for the atetendees

Positives

• Good topic to talk about
• A lot of participation from the attendees
• Funny activities, good coexistence

Negatives

• We didn't have enough time to extend the session about GitHub Universe, so we decided to make it shorter
