What programming language should we add?

Batch Scripting Language

What is the official website for the language?

It's Microsoft made and not has a offical website.

Is this a language that comes in many variants? If so, which variant should we support?

No.

Does the language have an official logo? If so

A link does not actually have an official link, logo was included by default in Windows Operating Systems.

Rights of that logo uses: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/legal/intellectualproperty/copyright/permissions?SilentAuth=1&wa=wsignin1.0

Does the language have an unofficial logo? If so

There may be different used copies, but nobody cares about copies, people find the content more important.

Is there a testing framework available for the language?

No.

Is this language listed as 'supported' by Highlightjs? If so

No.

  • what is Highlightjs' canonical spelling for the language?

In the demo, the "dos" language represents this language, but there is no GitHub repo.

  • what file extensions should be highlighted?

[ "*.bat", "*.cmd" ]

If it is not supported by Highlightjs, what is the closest supported language it maps to?

In the demo, the "dos" language represents this language, but there is no GitHub repo.

Who will be leading the effort to launch the track?

I can contribute here in my free time. @GroophyLifefor

Please post the GitHub usernames of everyone who will be building the track so we can add them to the team that has write-access to the repository.
