A useful function implemented into the Sweden branch is the locate function which allows you to get your position on the map (thereby easier finding monuments close to you).

I can put together a pull for this if wanted

Yes, I know that feature (not for the Sweden map, but in other websites). I never use it because privacy.

I didn't add it to the WLM map for that reason. And I'm not sure if it is good idea...

It only triggers once you ask it to and (in Firefox at least) tell the browser to permit the page to access that info. But yes at that point you are probably telling labs+browser where you are.

As such I wouldn't consider it any better/worse than the facebook link.

Still just a suggestion.
