A20地址线在今天是否有必要兼容？在普遍64位的今天，它默认是打开的吗？

由于历史原因，从实模式进入保护模式，需要打开A20地址线，但在intel手册是这么写的：

且从实模式进入到保护模式的步骤中也没有打开A20：
