Clearing CMOS / reinstall battery #420

Recently my CMOS battery has died and I replaced it with new one. Before that I had to reset and clear CMOS in order to examine whats wrong. At the end I replaced battery. Do I have to apply me_cleaner again or is it persistent in BIOS?
