There are a few things we noticed when we did the Run experience today. One had to do with the placement of one monitor. The monitor that houses the data visualizations is attached to the back of the monitor that faces the runner and records their final time. The problem is, only 2 of the 5 people we collected data from even noticed the data monitor and we had to call their attention to it. Not sure why this monitor was placed like that. It is bolted to the table and can't be re-positioned. The monitor that faces the runner can be unattached from the data monitor and could possibly be placed at a right angle to it, but I'm not sure if the wires are long enough to do that.

Our goals on this first iteration were to make the cabinet as easy as possible to move around so we wanted to build the MAV and Finish Line display in the same box. Our thinking was that the MAV would be placed at the end of the run track with the finish line timer facing the runner. After the runner finishes the race, they would walk around to the other side to use the MAV setup. The current furniture setup can't safely be separated, but if there's ideas for a different design, we can consider that for a second version.
Would a didactic graphic in the setup help to direct visitors to the MAV experience? Elaine we weren't sure of the footprint of the exhibit here until it got setup there. If you think that would help we can propose some options and get them into the production pipeline.
