About Me:
As a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer and DevSecOps Lead at Collins Aerospace, I am deeply committed to advancing secure and innovative solutions in alignment with CNCF's mission to sustain and integrate cloud-native technologies. With over 12 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Security Engineering, my focus is on driving adoption of cutting-edge, scalable frameworks such as PlatformOne/BigBang/IronBank, a DoD-hardened container repository. I actively enhance agile development, model-based systems engineering, and DevSecOps practices across IR&D and other critical programs. My efforts include deploying DevSecOps pipelines in highly regulated, air-gapped environments using innovative approaches like Zarf packages, and delivering comprehensive cybersecurity awareness training to build resilient teams and systems.
Aligned with CNCF’s vision of empowering the global technology ecosystem, my work also extends to supporting high-impact U.S. Air Force programs such as the Big Safari Program and the 7th Bomb Wing. I have contributed to security engineering design, testing, and lifecycle management for both classified and unclassified systems. In roles like NSA System Administrator and Cyber Security Management Server point of contact, I leveraged my expertise to ensure operational excellence and compliance with stringent defense standards. With a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance, multiple CompTIA certifications, and a passion for building secure, scalable systems, I aim to drive the adoption of cloud-native and secure computing practices in aerospace and defense, fostering innovation and resilience.

As a cybersecurity expert and DevSecOps practitioner with over 12 years of hands-on experience, I am deeply committed to driving secure, innovative solutions in the tech ecosystem. My professional background, technical expertise, and passion for fostering collaboration uniquely position me to contribute significantly as a CNCF Ambassador for the African Chapter.
Professional Expertise and Alignment with CNCF Goals
As a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer and DevSecOps Lead at Collins Aerospace, I’ve spearheaded the adoption of modern cloud-native frameworks like PlatformOne, BigBang, and IronBank—DoD-recognized technologies aligned with CNCF’s mission to promote secure and scalable cloud-native solutions.
I’ve introduced Zarf packages to air-gapped environments, a concept critical for industries with strict compliance requirements, showcasing my ability to adapt and deploy CNCF principles in challenging contexts.
My contributions to federal security compliance and cybersecurity awareness provide me with a unique perspective on how to integrate security practices within cloud-native environments—an essential focus area for CNCF adoption across industries.
Community Engagement and Collaboration
With experience developing and delivering cybersecurity awareness and education training, I am skilled at breaking down complex topics to empower both technical and non-technical audiences.
My work with federal security programs and the U.S. Air Force highlights my ability to foster cross-functional collaboration across large-scale organizations—a vital skill for building an active CNCF chapter in Africa.
I am actively seeking opportunities to collaborate on compliance as code, DevSecOps practices, and CNCF chapter engagement, making me a natural fit to serve as a bridge for the African tech community and CNCF resources.
Commitment to Growth and Inclusion
Africa represents an untapped pool of tech talent eager to embrace cloud-native practices. As an ambassador, I would focus on promoting CNCF tools and principles, mentoring local professionals, and creating a community of practice for cloud-native security and DevSecOps.
I am passionate about enabling diverse teams, as reflected in my work within highly secure, globally distributed environments. My approach would prioritize inclusion and accessibility to ensure that the African Chapter welcomes contributions from professionals at all levels.
Personal Passion for Security and Innovation
I am not just a technologist; I am a lifelong learner. My current journey—mastering tools like OSCAL, Zarf, and ATO as Code—demonstrates my drive to stay ahead in a fast-evolving field. This passion mirrors CNCF's ethos of continuous innovation, which I am excited to bring to the African Chapter.
In summary, my combination of technical expertise, leadership experience, and community focus makes me an ideal candidate to represent CNCF in Africa. I am committed to growing the chapter into a vibrant community that empowers individuals and organizations to thrive in the cloud-native landscape
