N32 proUI doesn't support IS?

Just a query on why there isn't a release for N32 that supports PROUI + input shaping? Or is it included and just not mentioned?

@Vimknight yes I have Input shaping with BL touch for NoPro UBL 7x7 or 5x5 firmware. the reason why it isn't in the ProUI version is due to lack of memory space.

what I can do is have ProUI enabled with Input Shaping, but some other features may be disabled. someone requested manual mesh with input shaping and I will post that very soon. at the same time I will look into ProUI with Input Shaping for N32, but I do not know which other features may not be included. if you do have anything specific you'd like to keep and anything you don't care to get rid of just let me know. otherwise I'll make some educated decisions.

I'd say use your intuition. The most important features for me are:
300°c Hotend
Adjustable bed size
Tramming Wizard
Linear Advance
Input Shaping

Its nice to have screen timeout and Gcode thumbnails but they are definitely superfluous if memory is at a limit.

Adjustable mesh inset + mesh size are imho pretty expendable too. For most users I think you pick a mesh that suits your tolerance for time consumption and don't really touch it again.

those are all in the ProUI so no worries there. I'll post and let you know what didn't make the cut. the screen timeout was all me. I had coded that in there, and I'm glad you like it. but that an many features aren't many lines of code and don't take much space.

did you say you looking for manual mesh or UBL? because manual mesh should have no problem keeping everything. UBL with ProUI takes up most of the room.

Brilliant touch with the timeout, I had been running the LCD on 8 brightness before to try to prevent burn in etc but now I can leave it something easier on the eyes without guilt lol.

As for meshing, personally I use UBL, switching down to 5x5 UBL/manual mesh only for troubleshooting the heated bed or probe problems in the very rare event that something happens that I want to get a handle on.

Excellent work on this firmware mate, its become my number 1 for my Aquila S2 and has become my go to firmware to recommend to technical people. Eagerly waiting to see what you come up with next,

Just tried the 7x7 UBL with IS from the version just released. Was hoping to calibrate input shaping ready for the pro ui release with IS. Unfortunately with a probe X offset of -40 and the printer physical settings in their default (uneditable without pro-ui) state UBL is unable to move the printhead far enough along the X Axis to probe the last row.

Looking forward to the new release with pro-ui physical size settings and IS!

thats correct, the printhead is unable to do the last row, but it is able to calculate what it is pretty well. the thing about the X/Y Mesh Inset in the ProUI is it literally forces the probed area to be smaller so it can reach. but with a bigger mesh inset, its able to have more of the bed mesh in a printable area. i explain this in the description of the releases. that is why i say 7x7 is the best with as large of a Mesh as possible because it compromises being able to probe most of the points while having all of the bed with the mesh. otherwise if it probes all of the points by including the last row, that side it couldn't reach anyway isn't accounted for in the mesh when you print.

since it calculates the last row it cant reach otherwise with good accuracy, it makes up for not being able to reach probing the last row. and say u have a 10x10 grid, then there will be several rows unable to probe. so 7x7 is a good compromise. and what you can do is edit the values like manual mesh if you want to change those values to be more accurate or to double check.

had to disable the thumbnail preview, lockscreen, and plot graph to view temps while printing. among the several other things listed for UBL ProUI for these chips.

Absolute legend, there goes my afternoon!
Downloaded and flashed to my S2 now will let you know If I encounter anything unusual. Those features all sound expendable anyway. the only one I'm sad to see go is the thumbnails.

i should be able to include the thumbnails back, however id have to disable something else, if you want to let me know if there is anything you rather not care to have, like the adaptive smoothing enable/disable in the menu - so ill just leave it enabled. and probably also the other PID graph plot for PID tuning. or the fw retract - these are just some examples off the top of my head - if that is something you dont plan on using. just look through the menu options and give me a few from least needed u dont mind getting rid of. and ill be able to include the thumbnail preview back.

For my own clarification the "Aquila_GD32_UBL-ProUI.bin" does not include input shaping due to insufficient memory capacity on this board.

Aquila_GD32_UBL-7x7-NoPro-IS.bin would be the closest option that has UBL and IS. Correct?

Update

as of this year, 2024;
I was able to include a UBL_ProUI-MPC version, it may not be able to change the Colors of the UI, and have two mesh viewers, and maybe something else... but definately check it out.
