php 8.1, database unknown and syntax error, unexpected token "public

After installing codeIgniter3 development I get this message...

Message: syntax error, unexpected token "public
Filename: /var/www/html/hospital_cam/mvc/controllers/Frontend.php
Type: ParseError

before this I got a DB error the database name is unknown database 'v2022_trust_hospital, I remove the underscores and it works perfectly

the first message is solved, it is an error of code parenthesis not closed, sorry, for the concern of database I have not yet solution.
