Critical errors when updating to 1.x-1.0.0-alpha3 #15

During update to 1.x-1.0.0-alpha3 I got the error:

An AJAX HTTP error occurred. HTTP Result Code: 200 Debugging information follows. Path: https://[domain name]/core/update.php?op=selection&token=R6SZdTVCw9rbPTc2bHMWwxltUUkPIkJDn3LVrgghg58&id=36&op=do_nojs&op=do StatusText: parsererror ResponseText: g{"status":true,"percentage":"100","message":"Completed 2 of 2.\u003Cbr /\u003EUpdating graphicsmagick module"}

After update when trying to reach the image toolkit settings in the admin menu I get the following:

TypeError: graphicsmagick_toolkit_get_jpeg_quality(): Return value must be of type int, string returned in graphicsmagick_toolkit_get_jpeg_quality() (line 1302 of [some path]/public_html/modules/graphicsmagick/graphicsmagick.module).

Also I started to see 'g' symbol inside the <body> tag on all of the site's pages.
