Snap Joint Too Tight

I feel the snap joints are too tight, which makes pieces really hard to assembly. Bare hand assembly is almost impossible, I have to use a hammer and hit the pieces carefully otherwise the male joint could easly break. Maybe it's because the performance of my printer is not good enough, but is there any way to loosen joints a little bit in the script?

Try increasing $joint_inset. It defaults to 0.03 but I usually set it to 0.06 ($joint_inset = 0.06)
