Today I learned about scoop and fell in love immediately. Installed:
Such speed! Such elegance! I've used cygwin for 10 years. Always had some troubles, eg
So, can I get rid of Cygwin, or is that folly?

Scoop is not a replacement for Cygwin - if you need unix-y tools and build chains etc., you'll still need it. A better aternative to Cygwin is MSYS2, btw. I use both MSYS2 and Scoop. |

And still, when I try to install a Perl module that uses XS, I get this error:
