Describe the example

I was doing PDE discretization using MOL (julia v1.10.5). I did the upgrade to julia v1.11.1, going along with packages updates, and now I've some error.

Additional context

The whole story is that I uninstalled julia that I had manually installed, to install it through MS store (to have juliaup). Juliaup installed last julia release, so I went from v1.10.5 to v1.11.1. I tried to install packages through julia v1.10.5 channel, but it installs same packages version as in v1.11.1 channel (which do not work), so I'm stuck with this MOL error.

Probably the error could be more informative? Or during the construction of sys a warning could be raised?

Is there also a new way to call "remake" function ?
Because I'm facing warnings when trying to solve the pb with remake:

newprob = remake(prob, p=[D=>0.2])

throw the warnings:

which then returns non-working solution (one column matrix...). The same code was working before.
Calling solve without "remake" works fine. So the error seems to come from "remake".

thank you, @cartiery and @dmetivie . Same problem here with heat equation-like problem. Your solution got me past the original issue. Next I have a namemap dispatch error to investigate.

Did you reverse the order of x and t everywhere in the problem setup? I have multiple parameters in my problem that might be the source of the continuing issue. Thanks.

it seems again that the syntax has changed Parameters Tutorial
requiring to use

newprob = remake(prob)
replace!(Tunable(), newprob.p, pnew)

but I couldn't make it work. the new error is

ERROR: MethodError: no method matching replace!(::Tunable, ::MTKParameters{Vector{Float64}, Tuple{}, Tuple{}, Tuple{}}, ::Vector{Float64})
The function replace! exists, but no method is defined for this combination of argument types.

That's a completely different thing. Using the SciMLStructures interface for quickly replacing tunables is an interface for optimizers. It's separate from remake and doesn't have much of an overlap except that it updates existing problems.

@cartiery what's your full example? remake(prob, p=[D=>0.2]) should be fine, if you're getting warnings there but not before than maybe some piece of metadata is being dropped.
