With my tab groups configuration - all my tab groups are stored in a single window session; this appears to be the default and I haven't seen a way to change this. If I open a new window; there are no tab groups.
Is there any way to make it so the tab groups are shared between windows? There are several reasons for this:
Sometimes I want to open a new window, then load a tab group from the original window in it, rather than replacing the contents of the original window.
When working on two closely related tasks and want to have them both open on separate displays at the same time so I can reference them both simultaneously.
Sometimes I go off-subject in a window, and before I know it I have a mix of 10 tabs that should stay in the tab group, and a new set of 10 tabs that should be moved to a new subject. AFAIK, there's currently no efficient way to do this (though I have a workaround).
I've got several displays, each serving a different purpose. I sometimes run secondary & tertiary browsers on some of those displays:
Main display is almost always used for primary research (main ff window w/ tab groups) & development.
Second display is used for web-based wiki & notes.
Third display typically has several web-based media resources (music, tv, training).
I only create tab groups in the primary, because the second & third are frequently closed. It would be nice to be able to able to open and close those second and third windows without losing the tab groups.
Any suggestions?
