You don’t need to make it a bash script we only need to add a console
script entrypoint and improve the way it handles command line arguments to
be more flexible.
I will reiterate the idea of using traitlets to help accomplish this. It’s
a bit more heavyweight than we need, but I don’t know if a better
configuration system that enables common arguments simultaneously on the
command line, via configuration files and as a programmatic interface.
