[Feature Request] Hide nodes on map but keep tracking them in minimap #22
Comments
Look at your keybinds. You can bind hide minimap and hide map nodes with a simple key combo. (I use |
I don't think a keybind really solves this one. This is less of a temporary thing like in #23 and more of an always active setting. |
Fair. I'll be honest with you... I deleted all the herb and mine data from Gatethermate. It's too dense to be useful. The addon functionality itself, archaeology nodes, treasures are super useful but herbs and mining nodes aren't useful to me, especially with prevalence of world treasure and chests that give meaningful items. |
Yeah, it is a bit too dense... I think I have a good compromise now by adjusting the icon alpha down. I still get the minimap tracking when I'm in close proximity but the map isn't overly noisy. I only play classic so I only really care about herbs at the moment. I don't really need to know where all of the earthroot is in a given zone, but if there's one right next to me I'll pick it for a few free silver. |
When you have many nodes on the map it can be overwhelming to read. I am often interested in collecting herbs if they are in my general vicinity but I don't need to see every node available every time I open the map (such as chests).
It would be great if you could either enhance the filtering, or perhaps add an option to split the displaying of nodes (possibly requiring a second filter list) to either the map, minimap, or both.
