How to use Kadena app on your Ledger device

Install the Kadena app on your Ledger device to manage KDA Tokens with the Kadena Coin Transfer web wallet.

1. Before you start

2. Install the Kadena app

  1. Open the Manager in Ledger Live.
  2. Connect and unlock your Ledger device.
  3. If asked, allow the manager on your device by pressing both buttons.
  4. Find Kadena in the app catalog.
  5. Press the Install button of the app.
    • An installation window appears.
    • Your device will display Processing…
    • The app installation is confirmed.

3. Obtain Ledger Account Name / Verify Ledger Account Name

  • Open the Kadena app on your Ledger device, the screen will display "Kadena 0.2.1".

  • Open the Kadena Coin Transfer web wallet's 'Transfer With Ledger' page.

  • Click the 'Show Ledger Account Name'

  • The Ledger device will display the public key. The Ledger Account is 'k:' followed by the public key.

    Confirm 'Provide Public Key' prompt on your Ledger device to allow the web app to obtain it.

  • You can confirm that the account shown on the web app matches the account shown on the Ledger device by clicking the 'Show Ledger Account Name' again.

  • You can use this account to receive KDA tokens.

5. Send Tokens from a Ledger Account

  • Fill the form fields: Sender ChainId, Receiver, Receiver ChainId and Amount, and click 'Sign with Ledger and Transfer'.

  • Verify the details on your device display.

    • Transfer KDA

    • Sender's address

    • Receiver's address

    • Amount

    • Gas fees

  • Press both buttons when asked to 'Confirm' to sign the transaction.

  • After this the web app will initiate the tranfer and show the progress.
