F-Droid inclusion

Hi,

Since this app is GNU GPL v3 licensed, are you considering the fact to add it to F-Droid? There is a strong community behind.

You can find some documentation here.

Otherwise, if you don't want to work on the inclusion of this app by yourself, are you still ok with the integration of this app in F-Droid repo ?

A user open an RFP for me earlier (thanks) and I would like to be able to add it to F-Droid, so I created Fastlane.

But I don't have much time to deal with that aspect at the moment, maybe someone else can open a merge request at fdroiddata and maybe I'll take the time to deal with it, too.

@Ashinch Could you please embed the ToS in the apk? I would say it's weird that I have to open Gitee to know that the app doesn't track me.

The app check update on start without any action. So as soon as I start it it connects to github/gitee. This doesn't make sense for F-Droid users. I'll remove these chechupdate in F-Droid build or even better you can add a flavor for F-Droid without update check.

@Ashinch any news on the ToS inclusion? The app appears ready to merge but it will get AntiFeature: NonFreeNet if it needs an external proprietary server to show a bit of text. :(

Found it. It was an issue on my end (I probably installed it from GitHub and now it is incompatible with the f-droid version so the update wasn't being recommended to me), sorry.

I would like to request skipping version 0.10.0 and instead pushing the update to F-Droid after version 0.10.1 is released. There is a serious bug in version 0.10.0 that causes crashes for early users.

1. The F-Droid build variant of ReadYou does not check for updates.
2. images.unsplash.com is used to display a placeholder image from the internet in preview styles. ReadYou will remove it and replace it with static images in future versions.
3. besticon-demo.herokuapp.com is used to fetch website icons for feeds. This is an API on the internet. ReadYou will remove it and replace it with a local implementation in future versions.
